Classical jazz in informal and melodic interpretation
On Saturday, Søren Bruun and Andreas Gad will contribute to the summer jazz vibes by showing how they have worked on getting two saxophones to enchant the space in which they perform.
They are strongly inspired by the great ensemble of saxophonists Desmond & Mulligan from the early '60s. This style of playing leaves room for interpreting a classic jazz repertoire in an informal and melodic way.
For the past couple of years, the two musicians have tested this constellation inside out in many venues on the Aarhus alternative scene.
Søren Bruun and Andreas Gad have performed live for more than thirty years, together and in other constellations, and they are delighted to create a cozy jazz afternoon at fairbar, where they have invited Theo Benjamin Hjorth to join them on keyboards.
