Piano Concert with American Standards and Scandinavian Jazz Tradition

In keeping with tradition, the Pianoværkstedet will once again open its doors for 3 x Piano, where three pianists "duel" on three grand pianos in the shop with the audience scattered around the pianists.

This year, one of the seats has been replaced, as Hans Esbjerg has made other plans. Fortunately, we've managed to get the new rising star on the Danish and international jazz scene, pianist Rasmus Sørensen, to join us. He will fire up the experienced Bærentzen and Flensborg.

After 5 years studying in New York, he has returned home and taken both the Danish and European jazz scene by storm. The repertoire will once again be a mix of American standards and a few excursions into the Danish and Scandinavian jazz tradition, and perhaps a Danish song or two will sneak into the setlist. High spirits, a great atmosphere, and pianistic musicianship on a grand scale are guaranteed.
