Danish Jazz Drummer Showcases New York Talent

The young jazz drummer from Vejle, Nikolaj Bangsgaard, has made his mark on the New York jazz scene over the past two years. During his time in the capital of jazz, Nikolaj has played and performed with several amazing musicians from all over the world.

This afternoon he presents two up-and-coming talents from the New York jazz scene: guitarist Miles Mindlin and tenor saxophonist David Truilo. These are two young musicians who are breaking through on the international scene. Together with the rock-solid Swedish bassist Hilda Nordkvist, this international group presents an honest take on what jazz might sound like in 2024.
