Uffe Steen and Peter Vuust belong to the absolute Danish jazz elite and will perform as a duo at Salling Rooftop this afternoon. They will play a series of melodic and swinging songs that move between blues and jazz. The tempo ranges from fast and furious to quieter and more beautiful ballads.

Uffe Steen is one of the best and most unique guitarists. He is known for his unique technique of turning the guitar upside down. Over the course of his long career, he has played with many of the biggest names in jazz and blues. Known for his compassionate and captivating playing, his CDs with Adam Nussbaum on drums and others have received international acclaim

Peter Vuust is a professor at Aarhus University and the Royal Academy of Music, where he heads the Centre for Music in the Brain. He has been featured on more than 100 records and with international jazz stars such as Tim Hagans, Mal Waldron, Ted Curson, and Jukkis Uotila. Known for his groovy and responsive backing and extremely melodic solos, he has released seven albums as a composer and bassist, most recently the CD Further to Fly (2022) with his family band 5xVuust. Peter has also been nominated for a DMA for the CD September Song.
