Fusion of the Danish and German Jazz Scenes
This quartet is half Danish and half German, and the music contains elements from both the Danish and German jazz and avant-garde scenes.
The repertoire is original music by Jakob Astrup and includes compositions inspired by the Scandinavian musical tradition, the 60s avant-garde, and the modern German jazz scene;
The band cultivates an environment of improvisation and spontaneity, where each musician has the freedom to contribute their specific sound and ideas to the overall sound.
