Intense Musical Encounter with an Inconic New Guitar Trio

Faith Healers is a new guitar trio consisting of Kwella on guitar, Belgian drummer Yannick Ballman, and internationally acclaimed bassist Morten Ramsbøl, who come together in an intense musical encounter of the highest order.

Inspired by the great guitar trios of history, from Jimi Hendrix to the Pat Metheny Trio and from the Police to the Julian Lage Trio, the trio finds its own way and its sound.

The repertoire will be a mix of original songs and jazz standards based on a responsive and attentive ensemble.

Guitar: Kwella has been one of the leading forces in Jutland's jazz scene since the 90s and released his latest album GuitarRama Jazzical in April to rave reviews. Jazzspecial wrote among other things

"The most fascinating thing is the sensitive and responsive interplay between the two eminent guitar wings who make magic happen in the moment" and "Kwella is an extremely experienced and skilled guitarist with a strong technical foundation and therefore has the calmness and energy to perfectly balance technique, empathy and presence".

Bass: Morten Ramsbøl is a Professor of Double Bass at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria. He also has an extensive performing career, having released several albums and played with a long list of international stars such as Antonio Sanchez, Scott Hamilton, Kurt Elling, Jeff "Tain" Waits, Jeff Ballard, and many others.

Drums: Yannick Ballman has played and studied in the USA and Berlin, and won the 2022 Best Jazz Drummer award at the Riga Jazz Stage.
