Young, Lively, and Modern jazz

Woodhouse is young Danish nu jazz composed by Christoffer Skovhus.

The music takes the listener to an odd-time hip-hop universe with Balkan-inspired saxophone sounds, hip grooves, stringent bass lines, and dreamy keyboards in a unique and energetic sound.

A musical tour de force awaits with a band that has given modern jazz a fresh and vibrant sound with a new and powerful dimension. 

In the spring of 2022, Woodhouse participated in the prestigious Jazz Competition organized by JazzDanmark, where they won the audience award.

The four friends met at the Danish National Academy of Music and share a common interest in the exploration of jazz. With music that could be played by a larger band, the bandmembers try to expand their roles and use effects and electronic elements to achieve their highest musical potential.
