Improvisation by Berlin Brain Flippers Quartet
B.B.F Quartet is an international band formed in Berlin in 2023. This concert will focus on spontaneous improvisation that takes the audience on a journey through expansive, textural spaces. Withdifferent cultural influences from the band members, the music promises a rich palette of sounds ranging from dreamy ballads to raw, spontaneous energy.
Drawing inspiration from the contemporary jazz scenes of New York and Berlin, Berlin Brain Flippers' compositions explore the rhythmic world of uneven beats. The quartet's exploration of musical landscapes reflects the convergence of different cultural backgrounds within the group.
Born in 2001, Yo Hes studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and then at the Royal Conservatory in Paris. In 2018, he won the soloist prize at the Dinant Jazz Festival (Belgium).
