Share Improfest vol. 4 x DOOM School (DK/DE/PL/NL/AT/NO/SE)

Get Ready for a Great Final Night of Share Improfest! 

Share musicians will spend the entire Saturday in Mads Egetoft's “Doom School”, which will see them present the culmination of their work in a brand new collaborative piece. This allows audiences to experience all of this year's Share musicians in a once-in-a-lifetime constellation performing a once-in-a-lifetime piece. 

Egetoft started his DOOM journey in 2015 with “Afgangskoncert of DOOM” from the Rhythmic Conservatory. Like another Dante Alighieri, he has since played and released with “DOOM Orchestra”, “VS DOOM” and now “DOOM SCHOOL” on his way down. The Doom genre has a long history dating back to Black Sabbath (doesn't all rock really?). But the main focus of Doom School has so far been on the branch of the doom genre: “Drone Doom” as it sounds transmogrified in Egetoft's compositions and DOOM SCHOOL's ever-changing ensemble.

Share Improfest x DOOM School comes together as part of this year's Share Improfest - an exchange and networking platform whose main purpose is to connect European improvisational musicians and to present the essence of their encounters to a receptive audience.

At Aarhus Jazz Festival, Improfest takes place in the bubbling and creative environment of Sydhavnen, where the musicians will fill rooms and courtyards with mind-blowing musical experiments over four days. 

It will be an unpredictable and unique opportunity for an intimate encounter with the cream of the contemporary European improvisational music scene.
