A Creative Fusion of Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Breakdance

A captivating celebration of the dynamic intersection of jazz and hip hop, which brings together a wide range of talented musicians, artists, and enthusiasts with art forms born from the same music - breakdance.

Neo-Soul is big these days - many successful artists, especially from strong jazz / hip hop scenes in the UK and US, have made it a hot genre to include in any jazz festival.

This event aims to create a unique and vibrant space where the rich traditions of jazz and the urban beats of hip-hop merge, resulting in an electrifying fusion of sound, culture, and creativity.

In addition to showcasing the strong musical acts in this field, the concept also seeks to show how the music can be created on the spot in Jam Session, which takes place with a simultaneous Breakdance Jam.

ELZA opens the jam session with a concert featuring Aarhus-based rapper and frequent jazz concert guest in the band Blacc El and singer Liselotte Östblom.

Elza makes music with jazz and hip-hop heavyweights such as Guilty Simpson, JuJu Rogers, Tom Ford, STIMULUS, Leona Berlin, and others. The jam session will be accompanied by professional Danish breakdancers.

Admission to the Jam Session is free for breakdancers and musicians.
