Join three of Scandinavia's most prominent double bassists on a deep, melodic, and exciting musical journey as Anders Jormin (SE), Thomas Markusson (SE), and Morten Ramsbøl (DK) join forces on the Café Stage in Musikhuset. With the three double bassists' shared love of “the deepest tree in the forest”, improvisation, and composition, audiences can look forward to a true tour de force into the expressive possibilities of the double bass as both a lyrical and sensitive instrument.

Bassist and composer Morten Ramsbøl (1970) was born in Aarhus, Denmark, but currently resides in Austria where he works as a professor of jazz double bass at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in Austria. He has played with an impressive list of artists and released several albums. Morten Ramsbøl is known for his musicality and ability to touch listeners with his melodic and lyrical performances.

He has recorded over 100 albums and was the first modern improviser elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.
