Danish-Iranian Samara Bahrami is a singer and communicator with a unique ability to blend genres and cultures in her music. She is best known for her current album, Sam and the Soulmates, and as the charismatic lead singer of The Tarantino Twist Show.
With warm and expressive vocals, she moves effortlessly between jazz, soul, and Middle Eastern sounds, creating a captivating and dynamic concert experience. Her performances are known for their intimacy, intensity, and a rare musicality that captivates the audience from the first note.
For the concert, she will be joined by Jens Christian Kwella on guitar and Thomas Sejthen on bass, who have been playing together for more than 25 years, both as a duo and as the backing band for countless soloists.
Thomas Sejthen plays with Uffe Steen's trio, and his album This Is Our Year from 2023 has received 2.5 million plays on Spotify.
Kwella has played with international stars such as Eliane Elias, Randy Brecker, Curtis Steigers, and Marc Johnson. About his latest album GuitarRama Jazzical from 2023, reviewers wrote, "Kwella is a highly experienced and driven guitarist with a strong technical foundation to stand on, and therefore he has the calmness and energy to perfectly balance technique, empathy, and intimacy".
