Lucie Hendry is a talented lever harpist hailing from northeast Scotland, blending the deep traditions of Scottish folk music with the fresh and innovative sounds emerging from the Nordic music scene. Her work draws inspiration from the natural world, her folk heritage, and a diverse range of music genres, creating a unique and evocative sound.
In June 2023, Lucie released her debut solo album Land of Eden. The album, which is inspired by nature, has received widespread acclaim and earned national airplay in both Denmark and the United Kingdom. This success has propelled the trio to perform at major festivals in both countries.
Lucie’s growing reputation within the global harp community is evident, having been a finalist for BBC Radio Scotland's Young Traditional Musician of the Year in 2021. Additionally, she was nominated for ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ at the 2023 Scots Trad Music Awards. Known for her innovative approach to the lever harp, Lucie has established herself as a distinctive voice in the international music scene.
