LUNDH / AKROFI / HAGELSKJÆR is a jazz trio consisting of tenor saxophonist Mads Lundh, bassist Philip Akrofi, and drummer Gustav Hagelskjær. With great respect for the jazz tradition, the trio places the American songbook in a modern context and explores the potential of the saxophone trio through incredible presence and attentive interplay. The trio also blends their repertoire with original compositions. Each member is educated at or currently studying at conservatories in Amsterdam, Trondheim, and Paris.

Gustav Hagelskjær is a drummer and composer based in Copenhagen. He has previously studied at DJM Aarhus and CNSM in Paris and is now making his mark on the Danish jazz scene with his distinctive playing style. In 2023, Gustav was nominated for "New Jazz Talent of the Year" at the DMA Jazz Awards, with groups like Mass and Kosmos Trio. He is part of the improv quintet "Efecto Mpemba" and has performed with notable names such as Bo Stief, Uffe Steen, Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, Ned Ferm, and AC.

Philip Akrofi is a bassist from Aarhus, currently living in Amsterdam, where he studies at the conservatory. Philip has already established himself as a prominent figure in the Danish jazz scene, with a strong sound and unique touch. He has a wide range of experiences across various musical genres and always plays with presence and focus when handling his instrument.

Mads Lundh is a saxophonist from Aarhus with a distinctive sound on his instrument. He currently studies at the conservatory in Trondheim. His compositions are inspired by simple melodies from singer-songwriters and hymns, and his playing reflects openness and a delicate tone on the saxophone.
