Wild Experimental compositions that Engage the Senses, Played by a Wild and Energetic Band

A newly developed concert experience where smells, tastes, and sounds work together, developed especially for the 25th anniversary of the composers' association ToneArts.

It is a sensory concert that invites the audience to a very special experience where the involving taste and smell. This applies to both the compositional inspiration and the audience experience, including in a piece where the taste of spicy gorgonzola is replaced by sweet honey, or a cello duet followed by the damp smell of deer antler salt.

The compositions were written especially for this project by eight different pioneering composers from Germany and abroad. Each composition in this concert is based on a specific taste, smell, or physical sensation. Before the concert, the audience is given a plate and a glass of these selected flavors / scents as "finger food". These are consumed in an order that follows the respective compositions.

The music is played by an atypical and exciting constellation of fantastic and experimental musicians with backgrounds in jazz and classical music. There are beautiful melodies with soft sounds, there are raw screams, there are grooves, and there are free passages. A fantastic instrumentation with three vocals, two cellos, soprano and baritone saxophone, guitar, piano, synthesizer, percussion, and drums.
