Uffe Steen & Peter Vuust (DK)

Uffe Steen and Peter Vuust belong to the absolute Danish jazz elite and will perform this afternoon at Salling ROOFTOP as a duo. They will play a series of melodic and swinging songs, where the music moves in the borderland between blues and jazz. The tempo ranges from fast and furious to the quieter and more beautiful ballads.

Uffe Steen is one of the most skilled and unique guitarists. He is known for his unique technique, which involves turning the guitar upside down. Over his long career, he has played with a large number of recognized jazz and blues names. He is known for his compassionate and captivating playing, and his CDs with Adam Nussbaum on drums, and others, have achieved international recognition.

Peter Vuust is a unique combination of jazz musician and neuroscientist. He is the director of the Center for Music in the Brain and a professor at RAMA and Aarhus University. He is known for his groovy and responsive backing and extremely melodic soloing. As a composer and bassist, he has released 7 albums and has been featured on more than 100 CDs. Most recently, the album HOMAGE (2025), released with the Peter Vuust Quartet. Peter has also been nominated for a DMA for the CD September Song.
