Skovsang / Akrofi / Hagelskjær is an unconventional trio consisting of vocals, double bass, and drums. The trio's repertoire consists of original compositions and jazz standards arranged for this format. The roles of the instruments are looped and sometimes reversed as the trio opens up the possibilities of the constellation, allowing the music to move between spontaneous, energetic zones and fragile, quiet spaces. The trio draws inspiration from artists such as Lucia Cadotsch, Ellen Akbro, Rickie Lee Jones, and Billie Holiday.
