Sophia HP and 3xVuust at Salling ROOFTOP

On Saturday, July 19th, Sophia HP and 3xVuust will take the stage at the Salling ROOFTOP.

Sophia HP debuted in 2022 with her critically acclaimed album Carry On. Now, she releases the EP Hvor stiller det os nu?, which features an all-star cast of musicians, including pianist Frederik Vuust. "Stylistically confident, remarkable, impressive" is how GAFFA describes the young singer and composer who is emerging as a strong voice on the Danish folk and jazz scene.

Bassist Peter Vuust is among the elite of jazz musicians and has recorded more than 100 CDs, including 8 of his own. He is also a professor and director of the Center for Music in the Brain at Aarhus University and the Royal Academy of Music. Peter has also been nominated for a DMA for the CD September Song. Frederik Vuust studies at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, majoring in piano, and is also an excellent singer with a very special voice. Mikkel Vuust, on drums, studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York and has played with a wide range of well-known jazz musicians such as Jacob Fischer, Henrik Gunde, Uffe Steen, Sinne Eeg, and many more. He recently released the CD Further to Fly with his family band 5xVuust, interpreting the songs of Paul Simon.
