Look forward to an evening in the company of some of the most talented jazz musicians in the country at Tir na nÓg.

Mathias Heise is a virtuoso on the harmonica and an exceptional musical talent. He started playing the harmonica at the age of 8 and became fascinated by the instrument, which has followed him through thick and thin ever since. It's rare for a young Danish musician to be crowned world champion on his instrument, but in 2013, at the age of 20, Mathias Heise became world champion in chromatic harmonica. In 2012, he formed Mathias Heise Quadrillion, which has managed to create a different, unique, and very personal contemporary expression, combining jazz harmonies and improvisation with the hard-hitting rhythms of rock and funk music. For the last public concerts in 2018 and 2019, he also played with the world-renowned composer and pianist Bent Fabricius-Bjerre. Mathias has released 3 albums.

In recent years, pianist Rasmus Sørensen has been internationally recognized for his innovative yet accessible sound as a musician and composer. After participating in a variety of projects at home and abroad, Rasmus released his acclaimed debut album Traits in 2022, followed by the sophomore album Balancing Act with American jazz musicians Kendrick Scott and Alex Claffy in 2024. This release led to Rasmus winning the Danish Music Awards Jazz Musician of the Year award. His latest release At The Right Time was came out in November and has received extremely positive reviews, including five hearts in Politiken. He tours in a variety of constellations and has performed his music in the Netherlands, England, Switzerland, Germany, France, Norway, and Sweden.

Peter Vuust is a unique combination of jazz musician and neuroscientist. He is the director of the Center for Music in the Brain and a professor at RAMA and Aarhus University. He is known for his groovy and responsive backing and extremely melodic solos. As a composer and bassist, he has released 7 albums and has been featured on more than 100 CDs. Most recently, he released the album HOMAGE (2025) with the Peter Vuust Quartet. Peter was also nominated for a DMA for the CD September Song.

Mikkel Vuust (b. 1999) Drummer. A brilliant musical talent who lives in New York City and just graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with Obed Calvaire as his drum teacher. Mikkel has also studied with Louis Hayes, Marcus Gilmore, Kendrick Scott, and more, and has played with renowned musicians such as Ron McClure, Cecilie Norby, Marc Mommaas, and Mathias Heis.
