Rasmus Sørensen Trio (DK)

Award-winning and sought-after pianist and composer Rasmus Sørensen has just won the "Musician of the Year" award at DMA Jazz 2024.

He lived in New York for some years, where he studied at the Manhattan School of Music while performing at the city's most famous venues. Since then, the talented young musician's career has gone from strength to strength. He has been praised time and time again and is now a household name on the vibrant international jazz scene. He has also played several concerts with DR Big Band. In 2022, Sørensen released his debut album Traits.

This fall, Rasmus Sørensen was ready with his latest release At The Right Time. The original, captivating, and swinging compositions are a particularly fresh and updated take on the trio format. Energetic, playful, and expressive - but also sensual and sensitive in the quiet ballads.
