Featherdrop (DK/IL)

Award-winning Thomas Fryland (Ben Webster Prize) and Eyal Lovett (Artist of the Year 2017, Jazzy Berlin) are the soloists leading Featherdrop - a new Danish jazz group founded in 2023 by composers Thomas Munk-Petersen and Stig Halskov. The group's debut album Epilogue was played on P8 Jazz during in the winter of 2023-24. The album Nocturnes, mixed by Grammy winner Rich Breen, will be released in the spring of 2025.

Inspired by Nordic and Middle Eastern folk tunes, Featherdrop creates musical narratives of moments that linger, like waking up under a cherry tree with your newfound love.

A combination of virtuosic improvisation and compositional flair that creates an evocative experience for audiences to remember.
