Turkis, Syv Munde, and KANT Host Picnic and Jazz on Persian Rugs

For a picnic and jazz on Persian rugs, local food collective Syv Munde offers two vegetarian and seasonal dishes, served to the sounds of new Nordic jazz by the Albert Svenningsen Duo and rosyán.

We provide the food, entertainment, and Persian picnic rugs - all you need to bring is your own plates and cutlery. You can lick your plates clean or use turkis' dishwashing service before heading home or continuing on to the Aarhus Jazz Festival.

The last course comes with a glass of Turkish tea. Water is free and turkis' bar is open - we encourage you not to bring your own drinks :)

We would like to see as many people as possible on this cozy afternoon. That's why we have two prix fixes; one for small purses and one for larger purses. You choose the one that fits your budget.

Albert Svenningsen Duo

Albert Svenningsen is a saxophone player and composer. She released her debut album in 2019, which was named "album of the week" on P8 jazz. Since then, she has played in many different constellations, including BARYL, Gustav Ljunggren, Emil de Waal, Trubaduren and his rock band, theater performances for children and adults, etc. Her new album Mere end mig is set for release in the summer of 2025, dealing with love and motherhood.

Jonathan Bruun Meyer is a trombonist, composer, and arranger based in Aarhus. He is associated with several music groups, including the Nordkraft Big Band, the Aarhus hip-hop trio Bogfinkevej, and the New Orleans band The Vooo Ca Ray. He also teaches music at MGK-Ø.

rosyán

rosyán is the solo project of composer, cellist and improviser Rosanna Lorenzen. With the cello as her central voice and improvisaton as her inner compass, she explores the instrument and its possibilites with a playful and open approach, both acoustcally and through electronic manipulaton, creatng unpredictable soundscapes in constant transformaton. In rosyán’s sonic universe, you will meet atmospheric textures, noise dissolving into silence, and diferent rhythmic structures, moving from fragile, delicate moments to raw and massive sonic layers. Voice and feld recordings are occasionally woven into the whole, expanding the narratve of the sound, while she contnuously balances between free improvisaton and composed elements. rosyán invites you into the space of the moment, pushing the boundaries in a way that challenges our expectatons. Rosanna Lorenzen works and collaborates across genres, with both other musicians and with visual artsts. She has performed in a wide range of setngs – from sound wells in Frederiksberg, on a bass-vibratng foor, in a dome in Berlin, sleep concerts and in an 18-meter-high oil tank in Sweden with 25 seconds reverberaton, to venues and festvals, including the Cathedral of Copenhagen, SPOT

Syv Munde

Syv Munde is an Aarhus-based food collective founded in 2024 by seven friends with a shared passion for bringing people together over food. We create long table dinners with green, flavorful, and seasonal dishes that foster sensory experiences, conversation, and community. Syv Munde's vision is to create moments where horizons are broadened and people meet in new ways. We strive to elevate our dinners from a meal into an experience that bridges cultural life, community, and sensory curiosity. We believe that dining experiences are more powerful when they are shared.
