Pee Wee Ellis, the "Father of Funk", began writing tunes with James Brown in the 60s that in 1965 resulted in the world's first funk masterpiece, "Cold Sweat", followed by 26 hits that have made funk music what it is today. In 2008 Ellis started his project Still Black, Still Proud - The African Tribute to James Brown. Together with this team of African super-star musicians he has played sold-out concerts in England, the European continent and North America. NB! The concert has been moved from Store Sal to The Foyer.
