Genre renewing young quartet with trendy Aarhus musicians
Clapper blends the sounds of gospel music from the American West Coast, modern fusion jazz, and hip-hop beats. A brand new addition to the line-up of unique Aarhus bands with a zeal for innovation in the jazz genre.
The four musicians are not exactly new to the Danish jazz scene. The band members include musicians from the bands such as Abekejser, Hvalfugl, Karmen Rõivassepp Quartet, and Bangin' Bülow's Nice Jazz Quartet.
Although the band has not been around for long, Clapper has already played a number of concerts in Denmark, and they are planning their first release in 2022.
On bass and drums, we find the dynamic duo from Abekejser and Bangin' Bülows Nice Jazz Quartet. Adrian Christensen and Frederik Bülow are here, there, and everywhere, forming an unwavering rhythmic foundation.
With guitarist Jeppe Lavsen from Abekejser and Hvalfugl, and pianist Malthe Jepsen, who released the album Fluidity in May 2021, the union of trendy musicians from the City of Smiles is complete.
