Nothing is forbidden – not even tricks or corny gags – when these three Århus bass players – Jacob Venndt, Morten Ramsbøl and Torben Bjørnskov – collide at Fatter Eskil, thus concluding Århus Jazz Festival with a bang to remember. DY:NA:MO is a musical playroom with no adult supervision. Instead there are virtuoso, dizzying grooves, electric and acoustic basses, saws, harmonicas, recorders and pennywhistles – as well as plenty of bottom and depth. Strong, prime-mover musicians on a common, tightly-arranged path of their own music, as well as that of others.
