Young, Vibrant, and Modern Jazz

Woodhouse is young Danish nu-jazz composed by Christoffer Skovhus.

The music invites the listener into an odd-time hip-hop universe with Balkan-inspired saxophone sounds, hip grooves, stringent bass lines, and dreamy keyboards that create a unique and energetic sound.

What lies ahead is a musical tour de force with a group that has given modern jazz a fresh and vibrant sound with a new and powerful dimension. 

In the spring of 2022, Woodhouse participated in the prestigious Jazz Competition organized by JazzDanmark, where they won the audience award.

The four friends met at the Danish National Academy of Music and share a common interest in the exploration of jazz. Playing music that could be performed by a larger band, the members of the group try to expand their roles and use effects and electronic elements to achieve the greatest possible musical expression.
